The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort is proud to offer the Technogym® fitness center with the finest trainers and a full line of Italian-designed equipment, plus spectacular ocean views to workout to.  We address Functional Movement and Training, an important fitness and wellness trend that re-discovers natural movement through promoting muscle strength, balance and flexibility so individuals can perform day-to-day activities in a safe and effective way. 

Our celebrity trainers utilize Functional Training to improve functions similar to those used in life’s activities, customized for each individual regardless of fitness level.  Outdoor elements, specifically the beach, are highlighted to achieve natural health and fitness goals.  Exercises work on flexibility, balance, strength and power to prepare participants for sports or activities by challenging balance and movement patterns.  Choose from Kinesis (a unique system of free cables that allows the body to move without limitations), Treadmills and Ellipticals with high-tech multi-media and web interface, and the industry’s latest strength and functional training equipment.

Group Fitness Classes

We offer an array of group classes by noted trainers Tracie Wright Vlaun and Christopher Vlaun of V-Art of Wellness, the premier fitness and wellness training that integrates the natural elements of our beautiful beachfront location into their workouts.  Programs include yoga and fitness to help participants feel reinvigorated both physically and mentally, and to adopt a healthier lifestyle, reduce stress or achieve weight loss.

Description of Classes

AEROGA® (Aerobic Yoga)
An intense cardio aerobic power “get skinny quick” Vinyasa-style yoga that integrates body sculpting with a high-energy workout.  Every pose is a challenge to enhance endurance, strength and flexibility; added benefits include meditation, mental clarity.
Sixty minutes; intermediate to advanced.

Take your workout to the beach with a fun fitness camp that mixes modalities of interval aerobic and functional strength conditioning, core training, plyometrics, cardio-boxing, basic yoga poses and meditation.  Shoes optional.
Sixty minutes; all levels.

An energizing beach aerobic workout accompanied by music.  Teaches basic boxing/kickboxing skills.  Have fun and burn calories!  Shoes optional. 
Sixty minutes; all levels.

A non-stop, total body workout for muscular strength and endurance.  High energy sculpting session and movement.  Some classes may be performed on the beach. 
Sixty minutes; all levels.

An intense, fitness-based approach to yoga designed to push participants to the next level.  Ashtanga-inspired yoga incorporating tests of strength and endurance to challenge every pose.  Previous experience preferred.

Take the techniques of Joseph Pilates to challenge your strength and flexibility to create a strong and toned body.
Sixty minutes; all levels.

Stretch, flex and release with yoga moves and resistance conditioning.  Sculpt the body while increasing core strength, flexibility and agility for a total experience.

Focuses on instruction and alignment, and designed to introduce all levels to the benefits and various styles of yoga and postures.  A stress reducing, relaxing class.

Personal Training

Tracie Wright Vlaun
Tracie Wright Vlaun started out as an Atlantan, but has called Miami Beach home for the last nine years.  Her career began in Miami Beach as an ELITE model and actress, launching Miami on several TV shows from co-hosting Travel Channel’s ”Get Packing”, to “WWE Diva Search”.

Her 15-year international modeling career was the launching pad for her yoga practice. She started training in Capetown, South Africa, and has studied and practiced across the globe.  She is also a classically trained musician, and music adds an extra impact in her yoga and healing experience.  Moreover, her extensive background in spiritual and religious studies has impacted her unique teaching techniques and healing works, and her personal “Power Yoga Sequence” has become a national craze and liberated many elite and celebrity cliental.

Coming from an entertainment background, Tracie has used yoga as a method for her connection as “One.”  Her passion for yoga comes from the intention of finding peace in a chaotic world.  She recognizes the teacher within all of us, and her strategy to release the inner truth has kept her in constant demand.  In addition, Tracie’s extensive travels have given her the opportunity to find profound inspiration through love and passion in life’s struggles and achievements. 

Christopher Vlaun
Inspired by the outdoors and natural elements, along with 12 years of exploring a variety of training methods from athletic performance, strength conditioning to power yoga methods, Christopher Vlaun is an innovator in the outdoor fitness arena.  He has redefined the approach to the health and fitness field with his innovative natural training philosophies, and is a passionate motivator and fitness creative who shares from his heart and personal experience. 

As a premier holistic fitness trainer in Miami Beach, Christopher utilizes outdoor elements, specifically the beach, as the integral component to achieving natural health and fitness goals.  A renewed overall balance and lifestyle is the by-product.  His balanced fitness regimes integrate the body-mind-spirit connection through Eastern and Western training modalities that include martial arts, yoga sequences, interval aerobic and functional strength conditioning, core training, plyometrics, MMA, boxing and meditation.

Christopher has experienced a life of loving fitness and design, and his philosophy is that everyone has the potential to transform their body, and the results can be long term and life changing.  He has helped thousands of clients find the motivation to transform their own lives.
